Checking in ready for scan day tomorrow.

As I've been feeling kicks for around two weeks I don't think I'm in the anterior placenta gang and therefore reckon ill miss out on the boy gang too Wink

GT was it any better after drinking more?

And a question... Had anyone notice their appetite jangle recently... I've gone from needing to eat every two hors an constantly wanting to feel full to more of a normal appetite. I can go four hours and don't feel the need to keep snacking. I think it may be because my nausea is easing?

thanks for the new thread pseudo - love the title!

Congrats gtbaby! Hope it's good news? I seem to remember you really wanted a girl this time?

flyer hope you feel better soon. I also like Dinner Date - perfect easy daytime TV. And I absolutely love Come Dine with Me - the more outrageous the better. Can watch it at any time of day and night.

re: stretch marks, heard that no amount of moisturising can prevent it and it's mainly due to skin type and genetics. I still moisturise every night, religiously, just in case. I was lucky and didn't get any in my first pregnancy so, superstitiously, using the same cream now too. However, I'm bigger this time and can feel the skin on my tummy itching today, for the first time, so it must be stretching and struggling already... I welcome any tips on how to prevent them - no matter how legendary and unproven! Apparently controlled weight gain is key - so I stuffed myself with too many falafels and one kilo of different kinds of hummus at lunch today. So disciplined! :-)

oh, and Hayle The only thing I have noticed is that I can eat for England. I'm constantly hungry for sugar. I feel quite bad about it as I know sugar s terrible for the baby and it's practically all I have been eating. I had three slices of fruit cake and a MacDonald's milkshake for tea on Sunday :(

Hello! I completely missed the last thread somehow and so am checking into this one now!!!!

What have I missed? How would you summarise the last thread in 3 words?!!

Report
Shirehobbit · 28/05/2013 15:24

Ooh, a shiny new thread Grin

Congratulations on the scan GT - hope your SPD is still getting better?

I kind of knew the moisturising thing and stretch marks was a bit of an urban myth, but I had to try. Not much I can do about my boob-growth, I don't think - there's no sign of any on my middle....yet....

x-post.

Good to see you, Umlauf

Three word summary?! Erm... I might leave that to someone else, I'm not too good at being succinct Blush

claphammama · 28/05/2013 15:33

welcome back umlauf! What's new with you?!

I think the title of this new thread is very fitting as a summary. I would say:

  1. boys boys and more boys...
  2. anterior placentas and more anterior placentas...
  3. naughty babies that don't cooperate and need re-scanning

We also have a spreadsheet now where we keep track of everything: docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AidVHHwJSwC3dDU2VzFhWWt1ckg4dW84WkdCNzhOaFE#gid=0

Haha well without even being here I've managed to tick off all three of those clapham lol! My boy (now definitely a boy!!!) is hiding behind his anterior placenta and has a shyness around sonographers.

Although I'm anterior I have felt flutters for a couple of weeks now, and DH can feel them too. I put his hand on my tummy yesterday and he said 'ooh' at the same time as the flutters! Ws lovely! I'm 22+4.

Ill have a go in the spreadsheet!

Ooh smitten just seen you're considering Sebastián! (Ignore the accent my ipad insists...) Its a beautiful name and am 80% decided on it as a middle name BUT...

We live in/baby conceived in San Sebastián....

Is that just too much like Brooklyn Beckham??????!!!!

smitten eating for england is my ''normal'' appetite but i found up to a few days ago i would HAVE to eat every two hours. I am refusing to weigh myself!

IRT stretch marks, i didnt moisturise at all with dd and not one on my tummy. It contracted back really well and once id lost my weight it was almost flat again! This time however, I am less active, started off 2 stone heavier, didnt lose any weight due to sickness particulary as I was admitted within days of vommiting started and I already look as big as I did 2 weeks before I gave birth to dd.

my hosp is right by our local shopping centre and as my scan isnt until 4pm i said we can all go for some tea afterwards and buy something gender specific... Im struggling to contain my excitment!

I just had the weirdest sensation! Obviously with DS I didn't have someone clambering all over my bump all the time. DS loves using me as a climbing frame and he just leant on the top of my bump - and I felt suddenly like I had to do a wee! Baby must have been shoved into my bladder by DS, it was so strange!
