Is this a good baby name?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
DoraleeRhodes · 16/11/2019 19:19

I think it’s cute, due a come back! Think it is likely one that’ll split opinion though!

ilyjccs · 16/11/2019 19:20

Absolutely not

Expressedways · 16/11/2019 19:20

I know of one toddler Brian. I would not say that I think it’s a nice name though.

CherryBathBomb · 16/11/2019 19:21

No Shock

MsPotterPepper · 16/11/2019 19:21

Awful.

Cbeebiesrehab · 16/11/2019 19:22

Brian...top marks for not trying...

Makes me sing Arctic Monkeys. Don’t think the world is ready for its comeback just yet though sorry.

Jellykat · 16/11/2019 19:27

No, sorry.. horrible name, and i've never met a nice one!

Lavenderblues · 16/11/2019 19:41

Due a comeback! You'll be ahead of the curve.

Brian sounds strong and cool compared to all the cutesy Archies, Alfies and Teddies!

I really like it actually

Winterdaysarehere · 16/11/2019 19:44

Def not due a comeback ever imo.
Only pulled off by a Canadian with a guitar imo!!

MsMustDoBetter · 16/11/2019 19:46

It's hideous.

Brian is married to Brenda.

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 16/11/2019 19:48

Isn't Brian the yoni massager from Hull?

doodlejump1980 · 16/11/2019 19:48

I married one. And he’s proper lovely.

Aposterhasnoname · 16/11/2019 19:48

No

Dollywilde · 16/11/2019 19:50

I hate it, but weirdly our top girls name is Bryony. Go figure.

TimeforanotherChange · 16/11/2019 19:50

No. It's either the snail from The Magic Roundabout or it is a middle aged bank manager from Slough who wears a vest under his polyester shirt.

MiniMum97 · 16/11/2019 19:53

No definitely not.

ElusiveOrangeTwirl · 16/11/2019 19:54

Better with a Y. Bryan looks nicer.

MiniMum97 · 16/11/2019 19:54

And it's always spelt "brain" in emails. Used to drive a Brian I knew mad!

BloggersBlog · 16/11/2019 19:55

Fine if you are giving birth to a balding, moustached 70 year old

AfterSchoolWorry · 16/11/2019 19:55

No, it's not good.

AgentCooper · 16/11/2019 19:55

It could be due a comeback! Defo better than Gary.

It’s love when there’s a fada on it and it becomes Brían (Bree-an).

MikeUniformMike · 16/11/2019 19:56

Brian is fine.

As are names like Roger, Gary, Darren, Alan, Neil, Mark, Martin, Nigel...
Much better than all the OT names or Alfie, Albie, Archie type names.

diddlediddle · 16/11/2019 19:57

Grin good one OP

Strangerthingshere · 16/11/2019 19:58

Lovely name, every Brian I know has been nice! An older name now though, popular in a certain generation.

DramaAlpaca · 16/11/2019 20:00

I know a 24 year old Brian. I don't mind it, at least it's not one of those cutesy names that are fashionable for boys at the moment.
