In this BBC article it says "half of those surveyed said they had already bought and eaten at least one chocolate Easter egg or cake this year."

Are they including a Creme egg or a couple of mini eggs in that, maybe?

I'd imagine they'd be sick of them by Easter, fancying a bar of fruit and nut now grrrr xxx

The best thing about being an adult is that you can eat whatever you want, when you want!

It’s just chocolate 🤷‍♀️

I bought them in December (mini eggs and creme eggs were in Smith's!), flew them 1/3 of the way round the world, and stashed them til last week until a neighbour had a horrendous week, so I took her a creme egg. Kids saw the stash, and insisted we made nests.
Easter eggs are typically the only UK made chocolate I get out here. Egyptian Cadburys isnt the same!

My 19 yr old DS and I shared a twirl one last night; it was delicious.
Don't tell his younger sister 😉

An Easter egg and a bottle of wine is a marvellous dinner

I was given a shed load of mini eggs (cunningly disguised as a box of cereal) for Mothers Day and they're nearly all gone. I may not have been solely responsible for all the scoffing though.

You are easily shocked! I could tell yo7 things to make your toes curl ;)

Surely it’s more weird to not of eaten one by now? I’ve eaten a few, chocolate just tastes better in egg shape

Just eaten a bag of mini caramel eggs. The Easter bunny will just have to restock

It's just chocolate. It doesn't make it sacred just because it's egg shaped! Hmm

I've probably eaten about 6 of the small £1 ones... They've been in the shops for weeks shrugs

EmeraldShamrock · 04/04/2019 14:26

I am not shocked. I have ate 3, small eggs not mini eggs.

"It's just chocolate" - yeah I guess I never thought of it that way!! Expensive way to eat chocolate though?

Besides, they've been in the shops since Christmas.

Not big eggs in boxes.

We won a few Easter eggs at a fundraiser the other day. We shared one out around the table and ate it there and then.
Does that count?

The actual eggs bought for Easter are sitting on the side under a strict Lenten embargo. They will not be touched until the first church service of Easter has been completed.

Yes you are clearly BVU.
Mini eggs are delicious and can must be consumed year round.

Well I'm letting my kids eat there's now as we won't be in the country over Easter and can't take them with us.
