To ask how many bras you wear in a week?

Please help settle an argument? My 13 yr old has just asked me for more bras, she has 6 (plus a sports bra) so 7, and likes to change them and wash them after each wear. I think this is utterly ridiculous, I change mine every 2/3 days, she thinks i’m minging.

To complicate it she’s a small back but already in an F cup so it’s quite difficult and expensive to get a bra for her. So just wondering what everyone else does?

I have two favourite bras and wear them for ages without washing, which is gross. I also have another bra to wear under white tops but I don't like it as much. 7 is loads.

I wear a fresh one ever day.

A beige one and a black one on rotation depending on what I’m wearing. I guess I might wear one 4 time before washing it.

Bras for teenagers are dirt cheap in primark though. Maybe you could make her do her own washing so she appreciates what a pain in the arse it is washing clean clothes!

I change mine everyday but I am breastfeeding at the moment so imo they need changing each day.

When not breastfeeding I wear 2-3 a week and a sports bra when I go running and that is washed after each wear.

I have a clean bra every single day. It's worn next to your skin so should be changed every day as you will sweat into it. Your daughter is correct, changing a bra every 2-3 days really is minging.

I have lots of bras, about a dozen black and a dozen white as some clothes require a dark bra and some a light one....

Missed then but about the f cup. I’m an FF/G and find Asda the best for bigger bras. Their £4 T-Shirt bras are great.

A fresh one every day. If I am going out in the evening I put a fresh bra on.

Wearing for more than one day is minging.

I have something like 30 black bras (to go with black pants for every day wear) that doesn't include coloured sets, sports or multi-way etc. I may not wash mine every wear but I believe in airing them after one day's use.

If you're struggling to find the right size cheap enough have you looked at sister sizes?

I change mine everyday because I shower everyday and dont understand now people can shower and then put the clothes back on that they were wearing before they showered.
Even with 6 though, is the first one she wears not washed by the time its the 7th day?

I wear the same bra all week or longer.

I agree with her! Minimum one per day. Same as my pants, anything else and I'd feel like I was a bit gross. I have a small back but G cup and second asda, they last ages, provide support and are cheap. I think she should be allowed a clean one every day bless her, especially being a teenager as they sweat more etc.

I'm with you here. If she wants one, she can earn it by doing extra jobs etc for pocket money.

I have a clean one every other day. Nice to know I'm minging! Can't she hand wash her bras every couple of days if she wants a clean one every day?

Fresh every day, DD too (she has four sports bras, four normal, because they do games regularly at school).
They'd be whiffy otherwise, but maybe we're sweatier than other people? Blush

I wear mine a few times before washing, because I only have 3 that fit and can't really afford to buy loads. Mine cost approx £30 each as they are really a feat of engineering, and the cheap ones don't fit properly or last anywhere near as long.

If I could get bras that fit more cheaply then I'd wash them after every wear like knickers and socks, but I can't, so I wear them a few times.

2 or 3 a week unless I get particularly sweaty (when I'd change more frequently). Swap into a sports bra for anything sporty. 7 bras sounds plenty - presumably if OP's DD is old enough to wear a bra, she is old enough to operating the washing machine if she wants them washed more frequently.

3 or 4, I change every 2 days.

Every 3-4 days. Might be minging but I only have a couple and I wouldn’t wear them if they smelled.

I have the opposite problem with size, I'm a 40AA, which you just can't buy in supermarkets. I buy crop tops.

I wear whatever goes with my outfit. Tends to be either nude, black or white. I have a red too. And three or four sports bras.

My 13 year old has a nude, pink, white, turquoise and black and couple of sports bras.

They only get washed after a few wears.

I have a loads of bras and have a clean one every day and then another if I'm going out at night.
It wouldn't occur to me to wear a bra twice Confused

PinkHeart if you use breast pads, you shouldn't need to change your bra every day while bfing.

2 posters think that unless fresh every day, it's "minging" Shock
