A nod to Banzai there for old timers like me.

Old thread here.

Question is, is it Mueller time yet? Anyone fancy placing a bet on when Trump will exit the POTUS role?

My bet: 20 March 2019.

You took me by surprise there Bad. Thank you for a colour coded thread. I see the orange.

July 2nd in time for bigly celebrations?

Repost from end of old thread. Smile

Trump on North Korea.

'“I’d sit down, but I‘m not sure that sitting down will solve the problem,” he said, noting that past negotiations with the North Koreans by his predecessors had failed to rein in North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs.

He blamed his three immediate predecessors, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama, for failing to resolve the crisis and, a day after his doctor gave him a perfect score on a cognitive test, suggested he had the mental acuity to solve it.

“I guess they all realized they were going to have to leave it to a president that scored the highest on tests,” he said.'

'The Independent Petroleum Association of America will hold its 2018 “Congressional Call-Up” lobbying event at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. from March 5 to 7. The agenda, which is publicly available, includes a meeting with officials in Congress and the Environmental Protection Agency, as well as meetings for conference attendees that will take place at the hotel.'

Nuclear war won’t hit suburbs, conservative magazine assures readers

Man, those people really need to watch some Cold War public information films. And if the explosion doesn’t do for you the radioactive fall out & post-apocalyptic gun-toting savages will. I’d rather be in a direct hit location & vaporised TBH. I still haven’t shaken off The Road & I read it at least 8 years ago.

".....scored highest on tests". Oh. My. GOD!!!! He just sounds like such a fucking buffoon!!!

I need a Gin.

badbadhusky · 18/01/2018 00:22

I’m starting to think gin isn’t going to cut it. Perhaps absinthe for a bit & the meths if it gets really unbearable.

OP posts:
badbadhusky · 18/01/2018 00:22

(meths = methylated spirit/de-icer fluid, not crystal meth.)

OP posts:
AcrossthePond55 · 18/01/2018 00:26

I've read about meths in novels. Nasty shit. I don't know if I'll have to sink that low.

Weed is legal here now. Wink

DH’s aunt told us they had to remove the alcohol hand gel dispensers in her (non-UK) city’s hospitals because all the homeless alcoholics used to come in to the hospital & consume the hand gel. 😫 Grim, but come the apocalypse that source might be good enough. I usually have some in my rucksack. 👍

Ahh, the green fairy followed by the purple one, bad? I'm sensing a continuing colour theme...

badbadhusky · 18/01/2018 00:32

[I should really have some news outlets or Twitter feeds delegated to me. My net contribution to these threads is backchat and Banzai videos. I don’t really feel I’m pulling my weight.]

OP posts:
PerkingFaintly · 18/01/2018 00:38

Um, if you're not pulling your weight, I'm really not. I am in awe of the amount of material pain and lion and others curate. Can't even read of all of it.

So I have to take the view that we each add what bricks we can, however tiny.

And ThanksGin to the hardworking posters here.

If you’ve been waiting for the Fake News Awards (not), here’s the scintillating list. It’s a web archives link as the GOP site link went down/stopped working/crashed under the weight of its own fakery.

A blatant slacker here, but love keeping up to date on the Trumpmeister

Saffronwblue · 18/01/2018 07:01

Thanks for the beautiful thread.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 18/01/2018 07:01

These threads are a collective team effort! I have learnt so much from everyone’s perspectives (even the apparant trumpers bots who seem to pop up periodically - the timing always makes me look even harder at what news is out there that they might be trying to distract us from).

Natsku · 18/01/2018 07:04

Thanks for the new thread bad

I love it when the Trumpers come here, wish some would come soon.

badbadhusky · 18/01/2018 07:06

Oh yes, I forgit to pick up on that aspect of Trump’s medical. Us ge really 6’3” or whatever? I never thought of him as a tall man. Obama was obviously tall in photos & news coverage, towering over Secret Service officers & the like. I never got the same impression of Trump.
