when I was little, frock was very much in use (1960's), but by the time I had hit my teens, it had become completely cringy - I remember a friend of mine berating her mother for daring to use the word , On the other hand we used words like, grotty, cruddy, gizzardy, etc. which sound extremely dated now.

Slacks makes me think of old men, golf, and polyester.

I would use frock ironically now, as in 'Ooh you've got your posh frock on' said in a comedy voice.

I despise the word Ditsy. Why use that to describe what is usually a pattern on womens clothing? It means stupid and scatterbrained for gods sake. Why would that be a good association to make for 21st century womens clothes?
