< tip-toes in through the door >

A new home! This calls for celebration 🍾

Did I mention that Mr Hippo got the gin at last? And tonic!! Only need to get lemon now.

Sitting here with a large glass of wine, trying to find something uplifting on TV ! Mr Hippo kindly showed me (rewound) a part of Ant and Dec (was live).

Two women were going to the Hippodrome to watch some men dancing in only jeans and bare upper body (why is not clear). Suddenly, their husbands appeared with the dancers (also with bare upper body). The looks on the women’s faces were price less. One of the them were using quite bad language on live TV when asked what was going through her head. She was asked “who are you here with?”. Answer “my mum”. Interviewer to the man “so you have now stripped for both your wife and your mother-in-law?” Grin

Raises a glass 🥃 to Mhor and feels as though the MN world is balanced again.

I am salivating at the thought of Pear frangipani ... I have no pears to make it though. The mixed fruit is soaking in Yorkshire tea to make tea loaf tomorrow instead

It’s all getting a tad eerie here

The rules are changing all the time

But I have cake and scones

And one is allowed out for buying necessities
Work
Or to help some one

Most shops will be shut

Having made a mega faux pas by starting new fred, it took me at least 10 minutes to work out how to report myself. How very different from the home life of our own dear queen, etc etc.

Anyway I have slapped my own wrist, publicly, so hope that's enough!

Just had toast and honey for tea, and lashings of Wine.

How's everyone's stress levels? Health levels? Any other levels you would care to discuss?

It is getting very real here. We found out an hour ago that a tenant in our building (3 flats in total) flew in from Milan last week. She has been in and out constantly and I have buzzed in the postman for her deliveries Angry.

Having a large glass of wine at the moment. How are everyone else?

Hope everybody is OK. It’s the unknown that is a bit scarey.

The only level that’s causing concern here is that our Lidl have run out of crisps. That’s not gone down well with Mr Llama, but to cheer himself up he bought a box of 24 beers.

WaddiMiss · 15/03/2020 20:48

Oh hippo are you ok? She might not have anything?

Yolo did you hear anymore from your daughter? (Caught up on the last thread not stalking!)

Poor Mr Llama! At least he got the beers?

Your right about the unknown thats what is getting me!
Apart from that all good here, went to aldi and tesco and just couldnt believe how empty the shelves were!
Luckily hubby brought home a jumbo toilet roll from work as we had run out and couldnt get any so we are covered for a bit!

The old Fred is left hanging, 999 posts.

Who would like to do the honours and turn the lights out?

Good morning < turning on the lights >

The world is crazy. The big Tesco close to us is completely out of loo roll. Luckily we have this lovely family run store on a back street close to us. I picked up some bits and bobs, including a packet of 4 loo rolls. They said “go on, take another packet”. I did!! Feeling like a proper VIP! Smile

Mustress is in FrogMohr - all's right with the world!

Afternoon! I have spent the morning in the fresh air painting the fucking Forth Bridge picket fence. Done the easy bits - front and back - now need to do the stupid sides which are fiddly. I actually need a hazmat suit as am Very Messy at this kind of shit.

DD1 currently booked on flight from Geneva Weds pm, waiting nervously for Macron's announcement tonight in case things change.

Anyone seen the PM recently? it's like a game of Where's Wally, or search the Scarlet fucking Pimpernel...

Well now, I have a confession to make and I fear some of you may be disappointed.

I am not the poster I may appear to be.

I have started this fred For A Friend, who has been unavoidably Detained but Who Will Return.

As you were...

I have started this fred For A Friend

Any friend of the Mustress etc etc

Does this mean I somehow have to regurgitate the huge toast (think "loaf" rather than "single slice") I drank to her return?

Only, I'm still standing on her rug...
