Mumsnet has an Etiquette topic.

For you convenience.

That is all.

Thank you, how kind.

Trills · 05/11/2011 16:45

A question of etiquette - does everyone have to be very polite when posting in the etiquette section?

SecretNutellaFix · 05/11/2011 16:47

Has this been brought in to act as a counterpoint to AIBU?

Apparently, this topic has been in existence since August 9th!

flamingtoaster · 05/11/2011 16:52

I would just like to thank LynetteScavo for her extremely helpful post. I am sure many will benefit from it. I do hope everyone is well. I would be grateful for one point of clarification - is there a dress code for the Etiquette topic? Obviously jeans are not acceptable - but are pearls absolutely necessary?

LynetteScavo · 05/11/2011 17:01

Why, thank you, 8flamingtoaster8,it's a pleasure.

Pearls are not obligatory, but neither will they offend.

Thanks

Sorry, my last post seemed rather rude.

Scoundrel - You are the very type of person who we hope will post with your etiquette queries.

Ok then.

Is it ever asseptable to present your host with a poo in a bag? roffle.

flamingtoaster · 05/11/2011 20:48

Scoundrel - I will bow to LynetteScavo's greater knowledge, of course, but as far as I am aware one can only present poo in a bag to a host if it has been produced by the host's labrador AND the vet has asked for a sample. Under these circumstances it would be seen as extremely helpful.

flamingtoaster · 05/11/2011 20:51

Scroundel - I should have added that this rule does not apply to corgis.

LynetteScavo · 06/11/2011 09:57

flamingtoaster is quite right. The if the poo belongs to the hosts dog it is acceptable. Of course it is important that a secure knot has been tied in the bag.
