Advent calendar for 18 month old?

I would like to buy an advent calendar for my 18 month old niece - either traditional chocolate or preferably one of the ones which have little Christmas toys such as reindeer etc which can be made into a Christmas scene. However, I obviously don't want to get anything which is age-inappropriate where there might be pieces which she could swallow etc. I would be very grateful for any advice or suggestions. The budget is up to about £25.

My then 18 month old loved her Happyland calendar. Still plays with the toys aged 4!

I would invest in a fabric or wooden calendar that you can fill and will last for years.

My dd’s godmother bought her a beautiful picture advent calendar with penguins and polar bears on a snowy scene. She loved that more than chocolate or plastic tat. At that age finding the pictures under the tab is great fun.

Have you discussed it with your DBro/Dsis?

IMO It’s really not a good age for them to be getting a treat every day because they don’t understand it stops on Christmas Eve/Day and it’s a bit of a nightmare when the presents run out.

And if they don’t agree with me they might want to buy it themselves - Imo you should ask first.

But if you want to buy the Hapoyland one for me, I’m in!

Thank you so much everyone for these suggestions! I had already looked at the Happyland ones, but there appear to be different types and some are described as only suitable for over 36 months. Which one would you recommend?
