Soooo, if I wanted some hastily-painted glass birds to hang from my oh-so-tasteful tree, I could choose six for

£12.99 from amazon

£15 from cox and cox

or

wait for it

£24.95 from pedlars

Hmmmmmmm, let me think. Hmm

I particularly love the way the pedlars birds look faintly embarrassed to be there. Grin

OP posts:
JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 24/11/2010 16:50

Could I also please mention £6.49 ?

moondog · 24/11/2010 16:52

Fantastic but by no means the worst.
I am starting to think it is one huge joke.

I also keep on sending the catalogues back to them with stickers on saying

'RTS I will not be buying any of your overpriced tat, now or EVER so please remove me from your list.'

But..they keep on keeping on.

BelleDeChocChipCookieMonster · 24/11/2010 16:53

www.pedlars.co.uk/page_3685.html dont' forget your nativity tea bags for £9.50!! Shock

Unprune · 24/11/2010 16:55

I am sitting here silently trying not to piss myself at the Nativity Tea Bags!!!!!!!!

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 24/11/2010 16:56

Oh moondog that's brilliant.

I now know what to do with mine.

I seem to be on a Saw You Coming mailing list.

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 24/11/2010 16:57

I have now seen the nativity teabags.

Good. Lord. Shock

moondog · 24/11/2010 16:57

Howzabout a takeaway cup that looks like cardboard but is actually ceramic?

(Are these people 'on drugs'?)

BellaBearisWideAwake · 24/11/2010 16:58

I think the Angel Gabriel is Madonna

BellaBearisWideAwake · 24/11/2010 16:59

And the King at the back looks like someone as well, but I can't quite work out who

BelleDeChocChipCookieMonster · 24/11/2010 16:59

ROFL!! You can get some scented ones from M&S for a few pounds.

WowOoo · 24/11/2010 17:00

Grin That takeaway cup could be so useful. Not.

Am sure they MUST smoke a lot of dodgy stuff and are laughing their heads off at people who actually buy from them.

mustdash · 24/11/2010 17:01

I'd unsubscribed from their mailing list, but now realise I must have those tea bags. Sensational. Shock

ChippyMinton · 24/11/2010 17:01

The teabags! Perfect gift for the DC's teachers (church school).

Unprune · 24/11/2010 17:03

Right. That's it. I'm off to live in a cave. Anyone who needs to spend a tenner on 12 farking novelty bin bags headed straight for landfill can just fuck right off.

SoMuchToBits · 24/11/2010 17:03

Pmsl at those teabags! Perhaps I should buy some for Norman the Foreman for Christmas.... Hmm

ChippyMinton · 24/11/2010 17:04

Actually they would lovely on my front-door wreath or hanging from the tree.
Bet the ink comes off in the hot water - ugh.

MilaMae · 24/11/2010 17:08

Unprune I'm presuming you're referring to the Christmas pudding bin bagsConfused. We really need a [why] emoticon, purely for Pedlars threads surely.

Do so love a Pedlars thread, every thread brings new and different ways for me to marvel at how people literally burn(or in this case bin)money.

Unprune · 24/11/2010 17:14

I remember the last Pedlars thread where someone said they had a friend who had a cupcake-bunting business that wasn't doing so well, so she whopped 50% onto the prices and started raking it in Grin

AbsofCroissant · 24/11/2010 17:21

They don't just have a Holy Birth Par-Tea (their words, not mine). You can also have an Afternoon ParTea and a Christmas ParTea

AbsofCroissant · 24/11/2010 17:22

Ninety Five Pounds

Shock Shock Shock Shock Shock Shock Shock

AbsofCroissant · 24/11/2010 17:22

And they don't even throw in the batteries for free.

MilaMae · 24/11/2010 17:34

They've surely misplaced a decimal point on that one, come on Shock

A wooden torch for £95!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VivaLeBeaver · 24/11/2010 17:40

Have they sold that spanner yet?

How about an anglepoise lamp for £425.

lamp

My mum had a typewrite just like this, she took it down the tip a few years ago.

typewriter

AbsofCroissant · 24/11/2010 17:44

This is still my favourite, partly because caroline someone came onto the first Shock Pedlars thread and told us that "it's an alternative fruit basket, you cave-dwelling neanderthals". Best. Thread. Ever.

MrsChemist · 24/11/2010 17:49

That sounds ace Abs Grin I want a Pedlars person to come back and try to defend the mad shit on their website, and the mad prices.
