Hello, my first MN post!

I've done a couple of yoga DVDs in the past and been to a few classes, but after a break, am now focused on regular yoga practice at home. I'm currently doing 30 Days of Yoga with Adrienne as a re-introduction.

I love vinyasa yoga but am looking to incorporate a few styles, and learn the ins-and-outs of yoga. What style do you mostly practice/prefer?

Can anyone give me the low down on each style?

Another Hatha yoga lover. I do a class on Friday evening and its like a reset button where my weekend begins..

Mainly hatha/vinyasa, although I also enjoy yin and astanga workshops. Totally agree that the teacher makes more difference than the style.

A load of new teachers have just started at my local studio so i now can take sivananda, jivamukti, scaravelli and kriya classes. Excited to try sivananda, based on the comments here, can anyone enlighten me about the style/focus of the others? Please :)

I agree that the teacher is more important than the style! Although I like Hatha Flow or any class with a good balance of dynamic sequences and strengthening poses (moderate difficulty) as well as more restful poses, breathing and relaxation.
