Interesting pattern in religious demographics of World Cup winning countries

Just for fun I was wondering about the religious demographics of World Cup winning states and there is a statistical landslide in favour of Catholicism.

Catholic Champions:

•	🇧🇷 Brazil: 5 wins - The undisputed champion

•	🇮🇹 Italy: 4 wins

•	🇦🇷 Argentina: 3 wins (including the most recent in 2022)

•	🇫🇷 France: 2 wins

•	🇺🇾 Uruguay: 2 wins

•	🇪🇸 Spain: 1 win

Protestant Champions:

•	🇩🇪 Germany/West Germany: 4 wins (historically Protestant-majority, though now roughly split)

•	🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England: 1 win (Anglican/Protestant)

All of the boys in my family are named ( second names) after St Jude or St Anthony- both Patron Saints of lost causes. Not sure what that says about our family dynamics!
