A match with lots of drama, lots of ups and downs. Like the England Mexico match. Maybe if you're very well up on tactics the Spain Portugal match may have been entertaining. But not for the average viewer. Even the TV analysts agreed that it was dull.

It was so bad they even showed a few hi lights of the England game at the end! That short montage was far more entertaining.

There's a reason the England Mexico match is already being spoken of as a classic. Whereas even the victors seemed to want to immediately forget the Spain Portugal match.

A player who has a serious wrist injury and a yellow card despite never playing on the pitch? Is that high octane match play?

If England won a 'dull' match by one goal to nil against Mexico it would have been fantastic 😊

A match played for high stakes in one of the most iconic stadiums in the world, with 5 goals, lots of drama, the away team finally prevailing despite the passionate (I'm being generous) support of the home fandom is indeed what many would consider a great match.
