That’s really lovely but lots of fans and clubs regardless of country raise a lot of money for charity. All I’m saying is that their behaviour really isn’t that different to anyone else’s but they seem to get an inordinate amount of praise for it?

@Sheismycherrypie you can’t compare Scotland fans and Celtic fans . It’s two different things….lots of Celtic fans won’t even be Scottish for a start
and hey, maybe I just missed the stories about England fans in the US helping good causes while I was reading stories about Scotland fans teaching nuns football chants, or picking up the litter while they party.

If you look there are quite a few England fans doing World Cup charity projects. But this is what I mean - the spotlight is only on Scotland, when their behaviour isn’t sparkling - adding fairy liquid to cultural fountains, jostling news anchors, and inappropriately touching the one I posted above while yelling incoherently and drunkenly. Of course that’ll be overlooked… cos kilts 😉 and they’re not England!

I’ll also add at yesterday’s game versus Ghana, out of 30,000 fans, not a single England supporter was arrested. There have been at least some Scottish arrests however.

Dear god. It’s virtually our national sport. I’d forgotten about 1994 snd 1978 I was only 7 so couldn’t care less.

but again, you’re not really comparing like with like. that’s someone away from a match….
We could go on to talk about Scotland fans playing keepie uppie with the cop in Boston, or the fact that the mayor of Boston has praised Scotland fans for their behaviour.
and yes, there’s has been a lot of attention in Scotland, which is probably because our men’s team. haven’t been at the world cup for years and years, so there is an element of novelty value in having the Tartan Army back on the biggest stage
