Oh Bugger. I've lost my CV

I haven't got a clue where I've worked or what I've done in the last 15 years. Just can't remember, it's all a distant haze.

Just filled in an application form for a new job and am hoping I guessed all the dates right. Rang up one of the companies to ask them when I'd worked for them, and they said "oh, we don't keep records that far back!"

So I guess no-one will contradict me!

Well, that's the beauty of being so old Caligula, NO-ONE remembers that far back! (I'm the same age as you before anyone thinks I'm being rude) I was interviewed by a spotty youth a while back who said, 'let's go back to the beginning of your cv' so I interrupted and said 'let's not, shall we just do the past 10 years?'. fgs, we didn't have time!

Beginning of my CV? But that was before everyone had a computer in their office! (I was the first one of all my acquaintances to use E-mail and everyone was frightfully impressed and thought I was wildly tech-y!)

Only problem is putting it back together again. I simply can't remember what I used to do. It all seems so pointless, now!

make it up?

perish the thought!

Looks like I might have to though. Short of ringing up ex-bosses and colleagues and saying "er... what did I actually do when I worked there?" Bit worried about doing that in case I get negative feedback!

Would your last employer still have your cv on their files? Maybe if you ask nicely, they'll do you a copy.

Ever used a recruitment agency/head-hunter they might be able to help with a copy?

Obvioulsy since some time has passed you might have solved the problem by now...sorry
