party planner out there

Hi I am a party planner who attends a Toddler group run by a church. I asked a while ago if I could come along to one of the toddler group sessions with my product. I was declined. Now I have seen that another party planner has asked and has been accepted. I am feeling really hurt.

Any tips on what to do next.

Was it your product? I would ask. Maybe the person in charge has changed. Does the other pp attend the group?

I think it was probably more that at the time a person attending the group had an unsuitable product. So perhaps they couldn't allow me as that person may also ask. That person has now left group. However, it would have been nice if I could have been asked 1st as Ipreviously expressed interest in coming along. Don't know other person so not sure if they attend group. However, our product are similar.

This happened to me but because I was slow off the mark - someone with the same kind of product got there first.
As a business owner you probably have to keep your personal feelings out of any dealings with business contacts, and TBH, it sounds as if you were pinning a lot of hope on this one contact. Really you should be out chasing each and every contact - if one isn't available cross it off the list for now and move on the the next one fast.

FWIW I got a chance to present my service and product at the church playgroup the following year and it was not the business opportunity I thought it was going to be, I had a lot more work through the other channels I'd been using before that.
