garden studio / summer house for work?

hello,

i wondered if anyone had any experience of buying / using a garden studio, or summer house, or similar, for working from home?

i've seen a lot of excellent expensive ones but i fear i'm looking at around the 1k - 2k mark.

i may be expecting too much for my money but thought i'd ask!

any suggestions as to what to go for - or what to steer clear of - would be very much appreciated.

thanks!

a x

hi we had one made by a company cost 3k though and we had to pay extra for electric. my coment would be it got very hot in the summer so it would need to be placed somewhere in the shade . But it was really cold in the winter even with portable heaters which cost a small fortune to run, even though we insulated it throughout!

for your budget you would only get a small shed unless you went for a second had one. My second one we had hand made by a carpenter which was better made at a lower cost but it was 4mx6m.

my best tip is spend as much on insulation as you can afford if you are going to spend winter in there and that includes the floor!
