Tax Credits while on SMP?

Tax credits use an annual salary figure to calculate entitlement, how do I claim when on SMP?

Do I put my usualy salary figure, or do I put what I expect my salary to be on SMP, ie. normal salary for 24 weeks and £105 (or whatever SMP is) for 26 weeks?

best thing to do is ring them as there was confusion when ds1 was born as to whether or not they actually counted it and when ds 2 was born they still wren't 100% so included it "just incase"

phone them when you go onto smp and tell them of change of circumstances...thats what i usually do and they work it out from then on
