PAYE & NIC

I am currently working for a company that is struggling. They have not paid the PAYE & NIC money to HM Customs & Excise for at least 7 months. If I am made redundant how do I stand with regard to benefits? My wage slip shows my contributions being deducted but if they haven't been paid can I still claim unemployment benefit?

OMG the directors of your company could end up in prison - this is defrauding the Revenue.

I think that your position is covered if you have had the contributions deducted as it is your employer's responsibility to pay them over, so you would be treated as if the contributions had been paid over.

Any confirmation on this from a legal type?
