Interview on Friday

Hi, I have an interview with the local council on Friday for a job working as a support assistant with adults with learning disabilities in the community.

The last time I had an interview was in 1997 for a staff nurses post, which I left in 2004, to go on mat leave with my ds(5). Have subsequently had another ds(4) and have an older dd(9).

Am certain that this job is just up my street and has my name written all over it.
Am worried about the kind of questions they will ask tho. Am a fairly confident person and know that i can do this job. It will fit in with school and nursery(10-3)so I would be gutted if I don't get it.

My friend who also does the same work has recommended me for the post and they held the closing day open a little longer as I was on holiday.

If anyone is in this line of work or knows of any tricky questions they might throw at me I would be really grateful for your help.
Many thanks.

Hi, can't really advise but bumping for you and wishing you good luck for your interview.

I'm sort of in the same boat. My last job was 4 1/2 years ago and my last interview around 7 years ago. For some strange reason Iapplied for a completely different job around 3 to 4 weeks ago. Hadn't expected to hear and assumed not got an interview but got a call this morning and they want to see me on wednesday.

In a blind panic now as nothing to wear! My clothes here are either shorts/t-shirts or ballgowns, nothing in between!

Cut your ballgown down an wear a t shiet over the top. That will prove how resourseful you are!!!

I've settled for a smart blouse and borrowed trousers and if I can get away with it, I'll keep my abaya on

Hi climbing. Think it went really well. I really warmed to the man I'd be working for and the rest of the team. Shame of it is the timing is rubbish. Job to start end of June when I'm due back in the UK for 2 months. Oh well, the interview was very good practice and it would be nice to be offered the job even if it isn't practical.

How did your interview go today?
