Need a part time job, having problems with childcare, is temping the solution?

Right.

I am currently a SAHM with a DS due to start preschool in Sept. He does a couple of sessions in a private nursery at the moment.

I am currently thinking of TTC number 2 so not thinking of a complete return to work as I want to look after DC2 if/when they arrive.

In the meantime, I have signed up for an OU course to update my CV and working knowledge of my subject area. I have also taken on a part time and voluntary job doing my dream job but which at the moment doesn't offer any financial stability, but it does offer a reliable route back into my career further down the line (in 2-5 years depending on circumstances).

I am wondering if temping might be the answer to my present need for a bit of extra cash. My last job was demanding and well paid, but I'm more than happy to do admin/reception type stuff.

Just wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to say to the temping agency that I'll only be available on a Monday and Friday, and only until Sept, then change days etc

I know nothing about temping at all, any info or personal experience would be appreciated.

I'd tell the temp agency you're available on a Monday and Friday and leave it at that. They are always looking for smart reliable people to fill a gap in an emergency. When September comes along, there's plenty of time to change the arrangement then.
