Think I may have asked this before but can't find it- Paternity leave

Can employers put any restrictions over when you take it?

See length of paternity leave paragraph for info on when it must be taken. As long as it's within those parameters and fathers follow the required procedures, it's up to the fathers when to take it.

If the company is paying more than statutory, they can obviously put restrictions on that.

It's to do with no one to cover as he is the boss & 1 assistant on mat leave & 1 currently having lot of sick time.

Ages off but I'm getting worried in case he can't have proper time off.

Well as long as the time he wants off fits within the parameters in the link, and he follows the procedure, he chooses, not the employer, so he should be fine.
