Maternity rights on a fixed term contract

Due to return to work in 2 weeks after DD2. Returning to work on a fixed term contract due to end in September 2010. Old job no longer convenient with 2 children and so employee has created a role for me for 5 months. However found out I'm pregnant with 3rd child due in December 2010. Have not informed work yet.
Does anyone know if I am entitled to any maternity benefits. Have been with company 3years in total. Please help!

The fact that you will be on a fixed term contract doesn't matter. The problem will be when your employment ends. To qualify for SMP you need to still be employed by the 15th week before your due date, so work out whether that will be the case.

Thank you - I will still be working 15 weeks before baby is due, infact the contract comes to end only 8 weeks before baby is due.

Thanks for your help!!
