I'm just starting the dreaded process of thinking of returning to part time work when my baby is one in September. Don't want to, but probably have to... another story altogether! Anyway, I need to put together a CV and haven't done one since leaving university - all jobs I've applied for have been application form and personal statement. Does anyone know any links to any sites that would show me how to set out a decent CV please? I'm not sure employers would be interested in the sixth form hobbies I have on my last one!!

Some good info at
www.plainwords.co.uk/WWwinning_cv.pdf

Having done selection a simple front page giving bullet points of your skills/experience/qualifications works well, if they are interested they will read the detail on the following pages. To much detail on the front page they give up, move onto the next one, and miss that skill that they are looking for.

Hope it works out OK

Have a look at Monster
career-advice.monster.co.uk/cvs-applications/free-cv-templates/jobs.aspx

or try one of the university careers service websites: for example, Kent University www.kent.ac.uk/careers/cv/cvexamples.htm; the Open University
www.open.ac.uk/careers/improving-a-cv.php

Good luck!
