Term time only working

How do they work out final pay in this senario?

You work term time only and are paid in 12 equal payments so you are not left with periods of time when you have no money coming in. You started the job in a September and are due to leave at the end of term in July - so should you still get your August pay as you haven't had all your time off or are you only paid your July pay as you are no longer an employee in August?

I can't quite get my head round this

Would imagine you would only get July pay, as you wouldn't be there in August ... interesting one

Have you been employed for a year's contract? If so you will be paid in August.

Yes you will get your August pay as you've completed a full year (ie 3 terms) and the wages have been averaged over the entire 12 months.

Thank you.

What would happen to wages if I renewed the contract from September but needed to leave in February (possible relocation with dh's job) How do they work out what you have worked, what holidays you have had and what you might be owed?

This one is even more complicated to me [brain exploding emoticon] Good job I don't work in HR
