Question about Application Forms - need quick answer please...

I need to submit an application form for a job today as it's the last day they are taking them. Job is part-time Admin for a smallish, family run waste management company. I completed the form and it was pretty basic - previous jobs, education etc.

My Q is this - should I submit my CV as well? They haven't asked for it but I think it might help further my cause IYSWIM?

Any help would be appreciated please! Really need this job.

Yes, definitely, if you're certain it's perfectly spelled, relevant, and in the appropriate style.

Yes put in your Cv - though it might be a good idea to acknowledge this in your covering letter..." I realise taht you did not specifically ask for my Cv, but I hope it will help give you the fullest picture of my skills and experience to date" something like that

Manifesto · 13/04/2010 08:21

Oh yes - make sure it is NOT longer than two pages and does not list irrelevant details. Put your work history before your education.
Best of luck

i wouldn't
jobs with app forms tend to not want cvs
wedon't accept them
if you do, do as manifesto says

So long as it doesn't specifically say in the job advert not to submit your cv then it should be ok. Most of the applications I've been completing recently have been very specific though - either complete their application form or submit your cv with a covering letter, but not both.

Perhaps, instead of sending your cv in as well, you could choose 3 specific points which you think would further your cause and highlight these in your covering letter.

Thanks all, I did as Manifesto suggested and added a covering letter explaining the reason for submitting my CV too, along with the application and a copy of my CV.

Hoping now!
