If you use the HMRC CDROM & you got a letter telling you about an update

Don't do it today

There is an error which means it won't work today - it will work tomorrow or even yesterday but not today

So the time I set aside to do end of year is wasted

When will they get this right? Government + software = enormous cock-up, every time.

Did you see the mess they made of the childminders on direct.gov??

Oh yes, I certainly did (I think I gave Nick a couple of pointers to help his investigation) - and it's still a mess.

They were right - it worked the next day

Could you have fooled your computer and put the clock forward a day??
Sometimes its good to be inefficient and not do anything till the last minute!

It wasn't last minute - I have until 19th May - But I am quite busy & when I set aside time to do something I would like to do it (didn't think of the computer date thingie)

I won't be able to do it until Wednessday this week now
