Consultants - anyone else got a blank diary for the new financial year?

I do policy/professional development work in the cultural sector. I've been doing bits and pieces of freelance work for a couple of years and it's all I've been doing since I was made redundant from a one-day-a-week job last autumn. I aim to work about 3 days a week. I've been really lucky so far, I guess - my diary's been completely full and I haven't really had to go out looking. Projects have come my way through contacts/recommendations - and lots of stuff from my old employer. But I have a near-blank diary for the new financial year. And nothing seems to be being advertised. Anyone else who works in the public/voluntary sector in the same boat?

Definitely, lots of things on hold.

A combination of the spending squeeze and the uncertainty about who will be in power. Maybe things will pick up after May 6th

Or not...But, that's my feeling/hope too.
