Statutory Guarantee Pay

Anyone know anything about this?

My DH is a builders labourer and has been laid off due to lack of work. No idea how long this will last...

Is he entitled to statutory guarantee pay does anyone know?

According to my reasearch it's £21.20/day for max 5 days so only £100 but better than nothing.

He has been given 1.5 weeks notice about the lay off and told his boss will ring him when some work comes in

He is v upset.

Is there a form or something or does he just ask the boss?

I'm sure he won't know anything about it!

Yes his employer should pay it to him. If it doesn't seem as though they are going to he should write to them formally requesting it.

Ignore this, DH was not laid off but dismissed.

Not sure if this is right so have posted another thread.
