Firstly, sorry if this is wrong place to post, i'm kinda new at this.
I went for an interview yesterday that was arranged via and agency and was about 5mins late, I got to reception and was signed in on the ground floor, I then went up to the reception of the company and introduced myself however the receptionist was busy with calls then she took my coat and what have you, THEN she called the person I needed to see by which time another 5 mins had passed so by the time I saw the person interviewing me it would have seemed like I was 15mins late, I apologised and explained and the lady interviewing me seemed to understand. Anyhoo, I was called up this morning by the agency and was told I was not sucessful, however before all that my DS was screaming in the background and agency lady was clearly getting annoyed by this and cheekly said "I am finding it hard to hear you as there is SOMETHING screaming in the background" I firmly said it was my son, she then went on to say I wasnt sucessful becasue I was late (nothing to do with how I came across or anything) and I didnt not really apologise to the client, naturally I was shocked and annoyed as this was a lie , so I went on to say I was shocked and upset and there is no way I would turn up late and not say anything, the cheeky mare then says "look thers no need to go overboard" like I shouldn't be annoyed and just the whole time we were speaking she was so patronising. I am sooooo angry and upset right now not so much at the client, but with the lady from the agency, I really want to call her back and tell her about her lousy attitude, as I certainly will not be using them to find me any work. It's situations like this that make me think why bother, I loathe using agencies but sadly more and more companies use them. I already feel rotten about having such a hard time finding a job, then you have power crazed agency owners (she along with 2 others own it) who seem to think it's perfectly fine to talk to people like cr*p, It has been a long time since I have been at a real low about my job situation and this woman has just tipped me over the edge again
