My employer, local authoiryt, is currently, finally sorting out its single status mess. I was sent a letter, with no attached information saying that ymy job's grade would remain unchanged. Given that the closest comparator job was a grade below mine I figured that was ok and I'd do nothing.
The closest comparator has now been uplifted to a grade above mine, but I've been told I can't apppeal as I'm out of time. I've aslo been told that I can't request a normal re-evaluation of my post unless it is vacant, well I'm in it so that's not going to owkr, or it has been changed substantially following a restructure.
Now my job has, over the last four years, changed almost beyond recognition, but not following a restructure, so I've been told it won;t be re-evaluated. There are some mutterings about my team being added to soon, but this would be a foraml re-structure.
What, if anything, shall I do?
The union are useless and have basically told me that because I'm a manager I'm alright!
