I just thought I would post an encouraging message for all those mums reading this and thinking about going back to work.
I was looking for a job for ages during the recession then got a job as maternity cover. It's easier to get a temporary contract, obviously, particularly if you make a point of telling them all about your school age children and how there's no way you are going to have any more children!
Now the other mum is coming back to work after her year out and we are going to share her job! It suits us both perfectly.
So mums wishing to return to work, look for a maternity cover because it may well be the perfect way to get back in.
