Does anyone here do Avon?

I lost my job in the redundancy and am finding it difficult trying to find another job due to only being able to work certain hours due to having a DC. I have started to think about doing Avon but wondered if any of you ladies (or gents) have any advice, sucess/failure stories to share?

Any advice welcome

Thanks x

Hello, really would not recommend Avon, the commission is poor, and you have to place a minimum order of about £75.00, (every 3 weeks!!), before you make a penny.
I was given a territory already covered by another rep, (she was not happy!), and just to add insult to injury, the few customers I did manage to snare locally were poached off me by yet another rep, who was offering freebies!
Have also worked for Ann Summers, they were ok, but you have to be quite ballsy and not shy, plus you have to be able to work evenings. Definitely had more fun doing that than Avon though!
Good luck with it, hope you find something to suit you.

I would highly recommend Phoenix trading greeting cards - a fantastic product which everyone needs lots of, all the time, and a great company too. Have a look here and let me know if you want more info!

Have you considered any other options besides Avon? I am an Usborne Books Organiser and I really enjoy it - it's a great product to sell as a Mum because you get lots of free children's books for your family as well! Like most of these things you can make it fit around you family commitments and as you work for yourself you can do as much or as little as you want.

I particularly enjoy taking the books to toddler groups because I take DS with me and he has a brilliant time!

Email me on [email protected] or check out www.beautifullittlebooks.co.uk if you want to know more.
