Maternity leave - if you take 39 weeks, is it AML?

Could you clear up some confusion? I realise that the SMP entitlement is now 39 weeks, but is it still the case that Ordinary Maternity Leave is 26 weeks? So, if someone returns after taking the full 39 weeks of pay, are they effectively returning after Additional Maternity Leave?

Thanks.
