Bank Holiday Query

Hi All

Some of you may remember that I recently went back to work four days a week after a year of ML. My question now is, if I take Mondays as my day off every week, what happens on Bank Holidays?

And my new contract says my bank holidays will be pro-rata - is that standard?

Thanks in advance

Do you get the statutory requirement of holidays? as in 5.6 weeks?

Yes your bank holidays will be pro rata. There are usually 8, so if you work 4 days a week instead of 5, you will be entitled to 8/5x4=6.4 days.

In your employer's position I'd round that up to 6.5 days. If because of the days you work you are unable to take all the 6.5 on actual bank holidays, you'll take them another time.

Thanks flowerybeanbag. And JuneyBean, at full time I would get 25 days of holiday.
