Hi

I wonder if I could have your thoughts and opinions.

I have applied for a position (NHS) which I have been shortlisted for. The role is home based but for a NHS trust local to me. The interview is in London which is a 2 hour train ride away and the train fare will cost about 140 pound return. Would you ask about the possibily of claiming travel expenses?

Yes.

Yes you can certainly ask. Not during the interview though, ring HR or whoever is administering the recruitment process. They are under no obligation to reimburse you, however it being the NHS I expect they will have a policy about whether they do or not and how it works.
