Are there any of you that have started a web business without going through the venture capital route? I am interested in starting a site (nothing grand - no big ecommerce venture!) & would welcome any experiences you have. How have you funded? What sorts of costs are involved in establishing a site? Can you really keep doing the day job & get the venture off the ground? What were the biggest lessons you learnt?
