please could someone help me work out if I am entitled to these days off, thanks

hi!

I work 20 hours a week over 4 days, mon-thurs, 5 hours per day.

this last yr there as xmas day and new yrs day fell on a friday I took that day as my day off and worked the mon-thurs both weeks as usual

have I lost out on getting a bank holiday?

any advice appreciated!x

When I have worked Mon to Thurs before my hours have been pro-ratered.

So if I worked 20 hours a week it would equate to 4 hours a day pro-rata.

That meant it I was off on a Monday as a Bank Holiday I would owe work an hour of time whereas if it was Good Friday they would owe me 4 hours and I would take it the day before.

How do your Bank Holidays Monday work?

Does that make any sense?

I work them and get paid time again, eg an extra 5 hours, so have never taken them off

If nothing changes for your BH then it might be correct.

I used to always owe an hour for my BH.

When it comes to BH Mondays you are being paid 25% of your working week as everyone else is being paid 20% so you might not be doing to badly when the May ones come up.

I don't have a contract, been there 2 yrs
