I've got an interview for a PGCE but think I only really want to teach Higher Ed...

Can I get a job as a tutor on a college with this??

I want to do English and media studies..

Would another course be better to do ?

Any advice would be welcome

I am pretty sure you can do it with a pgce. My husband got offered a tutoring role at a college though and they were going to take him on his degree alone (and industry experience) and train him on the job and I think alot of colleges do this if you are experienced

If you wish to work in HE you really need to be research active (publishing in peer-reviewed journals). If you want to work in post-compulsory education (FE), a PCGE will be fine.
