Gaaah - I wonder if I can drop my hours when I get back. I'm on 90% pay for 6 weeks until it drops down to smp rates. I do 20 hours a week normally, but I got about 60 quid more in my last payment. I dont reaaly know how to work it out though to get the most money for the least hours. Im super dim at that stuff. anyone know where I can find some help for dummies on this?

There's an online calculator here that works out take home pay from gross salary and shows what the deductions are, and breaks it down annually, monthly, weekly and daily.

Hiya

The 90% pay is based on average weekly earnings between weeks 15-22 of being pregnant (or around that time, not on your latest earnings). I think they take it on an 8 week period..? Did you used to earn more than recently or potentially a bonus?

Other options maybe that your tax code has recently changed, although this seems unlikely at this time of the year.

Hope this helps...
