Working Tax Credits-help with childcare costs

Have heard from many sources that you can get help with childcare costs if working under 16 hours or even over 16 hours etc but it seems to be based on household income and if you are earning over a certain threshold you don't get any extra help with childcare costs - is this right? Help-tom much conflicting information! tia

To get working tax credits I'm pretty sure you need to be working OVER 16 hours a week (on average).

I don't know about the childcare costs bit of it though - hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along soon!
