Changing from weekly to monthly pay question

Has anyone's employer done this?

I am desparate to change our 10 employees from being paid weekly to monthly - not to save money but to cut down on weekly paperwork and bank transactions ( everyone is paid directly iot their bank account on a weekly basis)
I am not sure how to broach the subject, but will certainly not impose it if the answer from everyone is a flat no

How would you feel if this was suggested to you - maybe with some kind of transition month where you were paid in two installments for example?

We've done it before. You need to have good consultation so they understand what it means, give plenty of notice so they can change any standing orders/direct debits etc, and then yes, I suggest a transition month. If they don't like it then maybe you have fortnightly payroll as a compromise? It would still halve your admin and is not such a change for your employees.

Could you offer an extra weeks money in the 1st month to sweeten the deal? Afterall it will be a lot less work for you after month one.

That's good - so it is possible then!
That's an idea about giving an added incentive - surely that would help..
Will probably wait and do it for the new tax year, but start preparing in January
