Redundancy/Alternative position/Employment continuity questions

Dh works for Company A. 2 years ago they were bought out by Company B and are now a subsiduary of them.

Recently redundancies have been announced. Dh has been offered an alternative position on same pay, etc as his current role but will now be employed by Company B.

Will he still have all the same rights regarding length of service (i.e. if this role became redundant in the future would years worked for Company A still count towards redundancy pay, etc.)

Yes, group companies all count as a single employer for that kind of thing.
