Basic Rate Tax with P45

Have given new employer P45 and wage slip said taxed at BR, is this right? TIA

Have you used up your personal allowance? You should get a notice of coding from the tax office to explain it.

is this your only current job? If you have two jobs at the same time sometimes they will allocate the personal allowance against one and deduct basic rate from the other

I had this as well, give payroll a ring. Mine had not processed my P45, it was sitting quietly in my personnel file.

I bet mine's been "mislaid" too! Will check it out, thanks guys
