Hi guy's I hope you will be patient with me I'm new to this site and the idea of chatting on the internet. I need some advice regarding possibly setting up a ironing service from my home in Bolton.

I work full time at the moment 50 hours plus a week and family life is struggling. I have been self employed before but nothing like this.

What I need to know is, is there a need for this service and how much should I charge?

Hope you can help from a Mum that wants to run a business around her kids and not the other way around! thanks

My friend uses one who charges £1 per work-shirt (she gets her DH's shirts ironed), plus they collect/deliver.

This is in Surrey

My ironing lady charges me £25 for a basket of washing (normal washing basket size, anything at all in it) and £40 for a laundry bag of washing (again, anything in it).

HTH
