I want to start my own business

But I have no idea how to do it.

I think I'd like to have a shop, but I don't know what to sell, where to get stock, how to get premises, or a till, or anything.

Could really use some advice from anyone who's done this.

Actually I think a men's clothes shop would be good, there isn't one in the town where I live, but I don't know if this is because no-one's thought of it or that it just isn't viable.

I know this is all a bit wishy washy but if anyone has any advice it'd be much appreciated.

I would like a shop too. One that sells chutney and enamel tea canisters.

[sigh]

Your best bet would be to contact your local business link people, they give free advice to peeps who want to start up their own businesses, check through local papers for information/ads & on line.

Yes, agree with Badger, Business Link are very good and you will probably get a free consultation with one of their advisors to "pick their brains". Good luck!
