anyone know whether we would get tax creds if I gave up work, dh would still be working f/t?

This questionnaire on the HMRC website will give you an idea. Yes you should be entitled to something but depends on level of income etc. You won't be eligible for the childcare element if you are not both working at least 16 hours per week.

i think as long as 1 of you works 30/35 hours or over you are still entitled to tax cred. how much depends on loads of stuff. if you google tax credits there is a link that goes to a 'do i qualify' questionaire n you put in info about wages etc. and it will tell you how much you will get. you dont put your name or anything on it so you can make up different 'scenarios' with different amounts if you know what i mean. hope that helps, not an expert or anything just done it myself recently.
