I have a flexi contract , which basically means i offer so many available shifts per month, and who ever is doing the rosering can choose any of them to suit . Its worked well for everyone for years and allowed me to have a good work life balance .
I new girl has started and she has stated doing the rostering.
She is being very particular , which is good i know , but i feel only with ne.
She texted me on my day off wanting to know if my 3rd child was now at school.
When i replied that yes he was, although i really dont see what it had to do with her, she then texted me to say she couldnt understand why i even need childcare then ! I have 3 children 16 13 and 6 and 1 on the way and its really upset me. Also i asked for any overtime that was available, and she has given me none , but given herself and another girl 6 days overtime ! I`m really upset and feel i am being unfairly judged because i have a flexible working contract. Am i just pregnant and over sensetive ? x

that first sentence is a bit confsuing.... do you mean 'I'm offered'?
so she rings you up and offers you some shifts each week?

No i am contracted for 18.75 hrs a week which is 2 days 1 week and 3 the next. However i get some choice in which days i work, so i usually offer 5 days over a 7 day working week , and then work can choose which 2 they want me to work-does that make sense ?
Last week i offerred to work mon tue wed thu or sat ect.

I suppose you could complain that you haven't been given any overtime?

Yes thats unfair, but im more upset at being questioned about why i need childcare . My children go to school miles away and i cant just leave work at half 2 i could be anywhere. Im a midwife x What does she expect me do do leave my older two to look after him . They had a childminder themselves until the eldest was 14 .i am very private and resent being asked . What was she intending to do with the information regardless of whether he attended school or not-he has actually only just gone ft because we home schooled him part time until he was 6 .
