I need to go back to work PT after four years SAHMing and only basiic jobs before that...HELP

I have been submitting applications for jobs i would really like (library assisstant etc) for a little while bbut am now open to anything (even xmas temping) as I'm hoping a recent reference will help

I can work either weekends/some evenings at home oif its a few hrs in the main working week i would need to work 16 hrs for whole chjildcare/working tax credit thing to work

I'm a bit confused what you're asking? It sounds like you're all asking us for a job?

No not actually a job

Just suggestions of extra places to look, types of job that are good for part time

Local councils and public sector organisations like schools, colleges, community centres etc are the most likely to offer part-time, job shares, flexible working hours and term-time only stuff.

If you are looking for casual hours and can spare some time over Xmas, now is the time to go for shop work, as all the shops are taking on temp Xmas staff. M&S and the supermarkets are big Xmas employers.

Council websites, temp agencies (not only for temp work iyswim)

Thanks, i have been checking the four localish councils regularly but there are no jobs atm. I am just kicking myself for not appylying 6 months ago when i was just considering it but not too keen, everything here seems to be downsizing, all the shops in the high street are closing down, so I dont hold too much hope out that I will get a job in our town but will def keep an eye out for xmas vacancies

Also look at the County Council website - they have jobs based smaller offices and facilities scattered around the area, at all levels, hours etc
