Consumer Public Relations - what's the same/different 8 years on?

I am thinking of returning to work in PR after 8 years.

I have done some freelance work in this time, but not a lot. I have an interview next week for a possible part time job/contract but feel totally clueless about it all now!

They are aware that I have been out of the game for a while which is good.

I have been buying PR Week and various marketing magazines and have no knowledge of digital, websites, etc etc.

Any tips or advice?

You'll find, if they are a good organisation, then the digital side will be very big now; reaching out not only to the relevant offline publications but online ones too, bloggers, communities etc. I would do some research into their client list and think about sites/publications online that might be relevant, and how talking to online sites/bloggers might require a different approach to talking to publications...
